Matilda is one of the main characters in the Advicit Armadillos series.

Her shtick is that she’s always been a huge freak for gardening and planting crops, and wants to work for the city’s main farm, for planting crops and plants. Matilda is also the age of an adult. She may be generous, but she’s also somewhat of a perfectionist, wanting things to be as perfect as possible. She gets upset whenever a garden she’s managing starts all of a sudden wilting.
